A bad switch will kill both weld power and wire feed. A bad switch will also prevent power from getting to the rectifier. FYI I use a regular push gun on aluminum. I am taking a lunch break and going out to weld more of it. A teflon liner is a must. Use 5356 wire 4043 is to soft trust me I have a roll in mine right now. If you have the power, and the dough, go bigger, but if you have a 1927 house like me, with 120 wiring, its a good machine.
