Yep. had the same issue last night, changed my roblox username through the website while playing avatar customizer, left, though i signed in to the account through another device later that evening--that probably was the issue. all i simply did to fix this was click the "sign out of all other sessions" option, disabling and reenabling vc, and checking back in a game on their website. works ...
