2024 Lincoln sp 125 plus problems

I have an SP135+, a slightly newer version of the 125+. It usually feeds OK but every once in a while it will go in fits and starts. The problem is usually too much pressure on the nut (maybe a wing nut) that holds the wire spool in place. It could possibly be that you liner is kinked from being coiled too tightly. Another thing to try first is when you are welding is keep the cable to the gun straight as possible. My second , a Lincoln SP125 Plus, lots of years ago. Use it weekly. I mainly do body panel rust repair on vintage sports cars, ie thicker carbon steel. My son is 50 miles away with projects too. It usually feeds OK but every once in a while it will go in fits and starts. The problem is usually too much pressure on the nut (maybe a wing nut) that holds the wire spool in place.
